Minutes from February Meeting were adjusted to change "AA Comes Alive to "AA Comes of Age then approved as submitted.
DCM Report - Jeff J.
Jeff thanked us all for sending him to PRAASA. It was a wonderful meeting of the minds and a great experience. He had a terrific time meeting the delegate from Hawaii who roots were from a young persons group. Jeff is very grateful. Our delegate, Vicki B. informed Jeff that there are three positions open for Nontrustee Appointed Committee Member, two openings for the Trustees' Committee on Public Information and One opening for the Trustees' Committee on Cooperation with the Professional
Community/Treatment Facilities. These appointments would require your attendance at the weekend board meetings once a quarter (4 times a year) GSO takes care of that. It’s a four-year term, renewed yearly. Please send resumes to Vicki B.
Alt DCM Report - Chris W.
Chris welcomed the new GSR - Cheryl. Chris also had a wonderful time at PRAASA and shared a story about the flight attendant on the plane trying to give him and Richard free cocktails.
Treasurer Report - Melanie B. distributed the financial statement for February. It was agreed that she will re-format future reports to better reflect a true operating budget. Report for February was approved as submitted.
Area Standing Committee Reports: Jeff thanked those who attended the Santa Maria assembly.
Archives: Mark V. was excited that the committee had finally found a permanent location for the Area 93 archives. The location is in Oxnard near the airport. Mark enjoyed the assembly.
CPC/Treatment Facilities: Jeff announced that Dick W. is no longer serving as GSR. N/R
Finance: Jeff - The Area 93 CPA is no longer dealing with non-profit organizations and resigned from working for us. Ken is interviewing a new CPA. Area 93 may incur additional expenses (Maybe $500) in correcting a non-profit status filing error for the Area. Taxes were extended for Federal and the State Franchise Board has us in a suspension mode (not serious, just messy). Jeanne (PRAASA ‘06 chair) was reimbursed for PRAASA 05. Ken asked that we let our groups know when sending contributions to Area 93 to please included group #, Area 93 and District 17. (example 123456-93-17.)

Literature/Audio Visual/Newsletter: Maureen - Stephanie will produce a special issue of the area 93 News Letter covering the pre-conference assembly. The Audio Visual chair, mentioned that there is only one copy of each AA video and we might want to consider purchasing back-up copies. These can be purchased from GSO in NY. We discussed re-doing the Young People in AA and The AA Group pamphlets.

SFV Intergroup liaison: Richard W. The annual Almost Free Memorial Day picnic is scheduled for Sunday, May 22nd at Woodly Park, Picnic Area #2, Japanese Garden Entrance, 11AM- 3PM.

Old business:
1. Hosting an assembly - Jeff asked if anyone knew of a facility that could accommodate 125-150 attendees that also contained numerous break-out rooms in the $700-$800 range. He would like to submit a bid to host the January 06 assembly.
2 Food Committee - Jeff asked if anyone had any suggestions/contacts for food for the delegate event.
3 Report Ad-Hoc Committee- Melanie. They were unable to meet in March and Melanie is re-scheduling the meeting for Monday, April 25. She will send an e mail to confirm.
New Business:
1 The date has been changed for the delegate report event. It’s now called "Live From NY and will take place Saturday, June 18th. Richard will confirm with the church that the space is available on June 18th. Vicki B. will also be bringing the delegate from Area #8, Marc J. Jeff would also like to show a short AA video if anyone has any suggestions.
2 Jeff also mentioned that Ian will set-up a registration booth to gather group information from attendees as well as distribute information about General Service during the delegate event. A "Does Your Group Have a GSR? table.
3 Open Discussion - What’s going on with your group? Jeff would like to include this item at our meetings to get a pulse on the issues that arise at our meetings. Richard announced the he would like to relinquish his GSR commitment to Lisa B. and volunteer to serve the District by visiting the registered meetings to increase GSR awareness and request donations to District 17. We also voted to pass the basket at our monthly meetings to pay for our rent and coffee.

Birthday’s in April - Mark is 1 year and Chris W. will be 5 on 4/29.
