DCM Report: Maureen
I hope by now you all had a chance to see the bus bench PSAs it’s very exciting to be able to carry the message in such a huge way. Would anyone be able to take a photo for us to keep on record and for the archives?
I attended the ACM on Sunday, July 20th. Jeff is preparing another News Letter which will include the descriptions of the Area Committee Chars responsibilities.
We need to review our District Guidelines and Policies and make sure they are up-to-date. Tom thank you for agreeing to review our G&P.
Debbie said the information from the 2007 membership survey is available at the General Service Office and you can view it on the AA.org. Web site
At the ACM we discussed changing the mileage reimbursement and the daily food allowance. The Finance committee and G&P are working on this and when we have the correct wording this will be presented to the Assembly. I met with the Finance Chair and the G&P Chair on Sunday, August 3rd to discuss and prepare the correct wordage for the G&P.
The November two day assembly will be held in Camarillo. We will not be co-hosting this event.
The Delegate Day is Saturday, September 6th at 5657 Lindley Avenue in Tarzana from 11:30 – 1pm. This is a potluck so please bring food/drinks and Tamara will need volunteers to help with set-up and clean-up. So please let me know who will be attending and who will bring food and who would like to be of service with set-up and clean up. Please let your meetings know about this event – this is their chance to hear the Delegate report back from the New York Conference which took place in April. Michael F. will represent District 17 in the share portion as I will be unable to attend.
Thank you for letting me to be of service.
