Jeff J. called meeting to order.

Minutes from November Meeting were approved as submitted.

 

DCM Report – Jeff thanked the GSRs who attended the Bakersfield Area Assembly.  Jeff also discussed the January Assembly.  He distributed a one sheet listing the positions for commitments and asked that we take this to our meetings and recruit meeting members to be of service.  Jeff informed us of the Pacific Regional Forum which takes place in Seattle - June 23-25.  Jeff appointed another Ad Hoc committee, Chaired by Ernie to focus on the GSR participation in District 17 as well as clean up the meeting listings.

 

Alt DCM Report – Chris was not in attendance. 

 

Treasurer Report – Melanie B. distributed the financial statement for November. Melanie has increased our prudent reserve to $100 and thanked the groups for their continued support.  November report was approved as submitted.

 

Area Standing Committee Reports: 

Archives:   N/R

CPC/Treatment Facilities: N/R

Finance: Ernie attended this committee meeting at the assembly and said they discussed the 2006 budget and it was approved by the committee. 

Grapevine/LA Vina:  N/R

Guidelines and Policies:  

Literature/Audio Visual/Newsletter: Maureen attended this committee meeting during the assembly.  It was discussed that we would request of the assembly to propose a letter to NY asking for an agenda item to include the necessity of a pamphlet explaining the function of Intergroup.  This was not passed during the assembly.

Registration: N/R

CO liaison – MarkThe Santa Paula area has a desire to open a Spanish Speaking Central Office.  

H&I liaison:  Cheryl - will e mail info for H&I service commitments including panel participation and 12 step calls.

SFV Intergroup liaison:

Newcomer packets – Cathy has newcomer packets

PRAASA 06 Update -  Laura – asked that we go back to our groups and ask if anyone is willing to participate in alternate housing, which is to offer a room in their home to a conference attendee during PRAASA.  If anyone is interested please have them call Laura C. 818-980-9987

Old business:

 

  1. January 15th hosting Area Assembly. Jeff covered this in his DCM share. 

 

 

New Business:

 

1.   Ad hoc Committee Report “GSO 101” Richard has secured Saturday April 22nd at 5000             Colfax.  A price is to be determined after the New Year.

  1. Open Discussion … What’s going on with your groups.  Rosemary shared her experience with the Radford Group and their lack of financial support for GSR.  Jeff explained the difference between a meeting and a group and suggested this may be the problem.   Jeff volunteered to attend Rosemary’s meeting to find some clarity on the issue.
